• 44mm headtube allows the use of either straight 1-1/8” or tapered suspension forks
• Surly 4130 chromoly steel. Main triangle double-butted. TIG-welded
• Karate Monkey is now disc brake only; 51mm IS disc mounts
• Clears a 29 x 2.55″ knobby tire. Individual tire and rim combos may affect tire clearance
• Fork is 4130 chromoly tapered straight blade. Redesigned to be more resilient and forgiving
• Surly Framesets come with all 3 MDS chips; singlespeed, 135mm standard QR and Shimano direct mount 142 x 12mm thru-axle
• Surly Modular Dropout System gives you the option of 142 x 12 thru axle (Shimano Direct Mount derailleur hanger [axle included]), 10mm QR geared, or singlespeed (complete bikes ship with only 142 x 12mm thru axle chip)
• Frame is ED Coated for increased life expectancy
